  1957   Professional Status as Chicago Chamber Orchestra joining the Chicago Federation of Musicians Local 10. Sponsorship by Music Performance Trust Funds of the Recording and Film Industries leads to policy of admission-free concerts.  
         
  1958   Handel’s “complete” Water Music at McKinlock Court of Art Institute initiates annual outdoor tradition of welcoming summer in Chicago. Later among first CDs in Chicago. Resident Orchestra of Art Institute.of Chicago  
         
  1958   1958 Command Performance of Danish music at Mayor Richard J. Daley’s Reception for King Frederick IX and Queen Margaret of Denmark  
         
  1960   Concert Series Broadcast by WSBC live from Fullerton Hall  
         
  1961   First Concert Tour takes CCO to Minnesota, South and North Dakota with Dutch-American Violin-Piano Duo Kooper and Boehm

Presentation of Paris Chamber Orchestra, Paul Kuenz, conductor in new concert series „North of the River“ at Apollo Savings Bank on North Michigan Avenue  
         
  1965   1965 Tour of Midwest with Scandinavian Gala program, featuring Swedish pianist Inger Wikstrom in premier performances of commissioned piano concerto by Erland von Koch  
         
  1967   Tour of Southwest and Midwest USA with Siegfried Behrend, Germany’s foremost guitarist, as soloist. The program was also aired asTelevision Special on WBBM-TV CBS  
         

Blair Memorial Concert
         
  1969   Blair (later Blair-Newfied Memorial Concerts) initiated at Cathedral of St.James and continued annually on Mother’s Day. Inaugural concerts for openings of Chicago Cultural Center and Beverly Art Center.  
         
  1970   Beethoven 200th Birthday Celebration Performance on CBS Network  
         
  1972   "Music for Young Listeners" expanded in collaboration with public schools and the Chicago Childrens Museum.  
         
  1977   “Mozart on Michigan Avenue”, a promotion by Lake Shore National Bank, a recording of interesting and for the most part, unfamiliar works by Mozart, featuring violinist Samuel Magad and horn virtuoso Dale Clevenger. „The record is sure to become a collector’s item“ - Chicago Reader.

  1985   “Messiah-Sing-along” sponsored by Chicago Tribune. initiates concerts by Chicago Chamber Orchestra at Fourth Presbyterian Church  
         
  1986   “Salute to Lithuania” at Museum of Science & Industry with guest artists from the Soviet Republic of Lithuania
 
         
  1989   Three centuries of Music from Germany, presented by the Federal Republic of Germany at the Union League Club of Chicago. Tour of East Germany sponsored by the government of the German Democratic Republic. Named “Orchestra of the Year” by the Illinois Council of Orchestras  
         
  1992   Tour of Germany, Czechoslovakia and Poland. Appearances in Berlin Philharmonie, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Prague Smetana Hall, Warsaw Radio/TV  
         
  1993   Tour of South Korea with an audience of 5,000 cheering in Se - Jong Cultural Center, Seoul
 
         
  1994   Tour of Germany. Erfurt, Magdeburg, Halberstadt, Osterode, Böhl-Iggelheim, Chorin “A warm welcome to the Chicago Chamber Orchestra and Maestro Dieter Kober at its first appearance in reunified Germany“ by Richard von Weizsäcker, President, Federal Republic of Germany
 
         
  2002   50th Anniversary Celebration Concert at Petrillo Music Shell in Grant Park  
         
  2003   Illinois Council of Orchestras. Lifetime Achievement Award granted to Chicago Chamber Orchestra Founder-Music Director Dieter Kober
 
         
  2006   Dal Segno Award „in recognition of having attained international status and being an inspiration to all in the classical music field“
